David Irimescu is an Italian-Romanian pianist, awarded with more than 70 national and international prizes, as well as the “Amadeus Factory” award (tutor: Beatrice Rana), the only Italian talent show dedicated to classical music and produced by Sky TV in collaboration with Amadeus magazine.
Praised for his early musical maturity and refined sound, he has attended masterclasses and lessons with over thirty internationally renowned musicians. He has performed in solo and chamber recitals across Europe and the United States, receiving wide acclaim from audiences and critics.
After a period of interruption due to health issues, during which he trained as a teacher, mental coach, and therapist in various disciplines focused on well-being, he resumed performing, receiving the Bacewicz International Prize 2023 in Kraków, an honorary mention under Maestro Claudio Voghera at the Conservatory of Turin, and scholarships to attend the Accademia di Pinerolo with Maestro Enrico Pace, the University of Georgia (USA) with Alan Woo, and the Rossetti Academy (Lugano) with Vovka Ashkenazy, as well as scholarships from the Cecilia Gilardi Foundation and the Piedmont Region.
Thanks to the support of the De Sono scholarship, the Monetti scholarship, and the PluS Basel foundation, he studies at the Musikakademie Basel with Filippo Gamba and Tobias Schabenberger.
Winner of the Mozart Prize (Vienna) and the Scarlatti Prize (Trapani), David has been invited to present his research at the MDW University in Vienna and the Conservatory of Turin, as well as to serve on juries in international competitions.
He continues to live music as a personal mission, aiming to restore the deep connection between music and well-being through awareness, sensitivity, and knowledge, and fostering the broadening of musical listening horizons through cross-sensory perception.
